SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Go Green.....Recycle your crayons and markers!

We are excited to tell you that we are bringing back two special programs to keep our earth clean.  Last year we collected almost 1000 markers and 25 pounds of crayons!!

Please consider recycling all your old crayons and markers at home and those that you’ll be receiving back from school at the end of this year.  We will be collecting them in boxes in the school foyer until Friday, June 21st.  More information about what happens with the recycled materials is below!

Crayons

All crayons will be donated to The Crayon Initiative. The donated crayons will then be recycled and distributed to art programs at children’s hospitals across the U.S. by The Crayon Initiative.

Markers:

Markers will be sent to Crayola in support of their program called Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing new program devised to turn used markers into energy! The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house – even non-Crayola brands.

Please contact Lisa D'Souza (lisadaswani@yahoo.com) with any questions

Thank you in advance for participating!
