Notes from the Office
The HSA is sponsoring a restaurant fund-raiser TODAY at California Tortilla on Darnestown Road (near Quince Orchard intersection). See information below for times and ordering.
Cub Scout Pack76 volunteers will be accepting donated bags of food for those in need on Thursday and Friday (Nov 19 & 20) after carpool morning drop-off in the KFC parking lot.
We are finding that wearing hats and having high heat on in the car during the colder weather is resulting in abnormally high temperatures in the morning carpool line. Please pack your child's hat in the backpack and turn the heat down before you arrive to prevent delays.
Congratulations to our 5th-8th grade students who have made the Honor Roll for first quarter. View list HERE.
Tuition Assistance applications for families with students currently enrolled in a Catholic school are due no later than Friday, December 4. This is a hard deadline. Please see information below.
Please see opportunities to loan and/or donate outside Christmas decorations and lights for the "Sleigh Ride with St. Nick" HERE.
The 2020-2021 Annual Giving Campaign is in full swing. Please see information under the "Development" tab below.

Important Information for Travel Related to COVID-19
The holiday season is just around the corner and we all know that traveling to visit family and friends is an important holiday tradition to many of us.
Please see information from the CDC on Thanksgiving travel and events HERE
As you may be aware, navigating through the many guidelines and protocols set forth surrounding Covid-19 can be confusing and exhausting. Mary of Nazareth follows the guidelines established by the ADW and the MD Department of Health.
The Maryland Department of Health has issued a travel advisory for Maryland residents. This travel advisory suggests that any Marylander returning from out-of-state should promptly be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival in Maryland.
The travel advisory also indicates that any Marylander who travels to a state with a COVID-19 test positivity rate above 10% should get tested and self-quarantine at home until the test result is received. These states are considered “hot spots”. Please check current, up to date positivity rates by state HERE.
If travel to a “hot spot” state occurs, Mary of Nazareth requires a COVID-19 test to be performed and the results to be submitted to the school. Please see the link HERE for COVID testing resources in Montgomery County.
Please stay safe and enjoy all of the upcoming holidays with your friends, family, and loved ones!!
We will have a live streamed Mass at 10:00am from Our Lady's Chapel on Monday, November 23.Additionally, all grandparents and family members are invited to a special edition of morning announcements at 8:10am for Grandparents Day (please note time change). Please click on the link HERE for both events on Nov. 23.
In order to celebrate our community's diversity on Grandparents Day, Mr. Friel is asking for pictures and stories depicting your culture, history, and/or ancestry. Please send your information directly to Mr. Friel. We are looking forward to creating an amazing slideshow!

At times, our lives are forever inspired by the kindness and love of a family member or a friend whom God has called home. Often, we want to do something special to honor our loved one but we aren’t exactly sure what to do. Mary of Nazareth School’s Memorial Program honors our loved ones while enhancing the spiritual, academic and the character growth of our students. The Mary of Nazareth School Memorial Program offers families a unique opportunity of prayer for the souls of their departed loved ones. Inscribed upon a brass plate, your loved one’s name is posted on the school’s entry wall. All individuals named will be included in the prayers of our faculty, staff, and students. This opportunity is available for a contribution to the school of $250.00. All contributions are tax-deductible. Please consider making a contribution and adding your loved one to the memorial. Visit our website for more information: https://www.maryofnazareth.org/support-mon/memorials/
