Our curriculum follows the Archdiocesan Standards of Instruction and Religion Curriculum, “Forming Disciples for the New Evangelization”. Copies of the academic standards are available here.
Our core subject areas include reading & language arts, math, religion, science, and social studies, which are taught daily. Students have weekly "specials" classes including physical education, music, art, library & media center, Spanish, and computer technology.
There are two classes per grade. Kindergarten has approximately 25 students in each class; grades 1 through 8 have approximately 30 students in each class. Kindergarten, first, and second grade classes each have a shared assistant, and the third grade has a full time assistant.
Reading and math classes are reduced for a lower teacher to student ratio with reading at about 1:10 in K-3 and 1:20 in grades 4-5. Leveled math groups in grades 4-8 are divided among four teachers; no math class is larger than 18 students. Math intervention is offered in grades 2-3.
